Hello, I'm

Nhat Tran

Robotics enthusiast — learning by building.

I work on robots and drones — localization, sensor fusion and Visual SLAM, the ROS 2 navigation stack (custom planners, controllers and ros2_control), and embedded systems from PCB design to firmware. I'm still learning with every project, and I enjoy sharing what I learn with students at the EIU FabLab.

“Passion builds robots; persistence makes them work.”

Localization & SLAM

Sensor fusion and Visual SLAM for robots and drones.

ROS 2 & Navigation

Deploying robot pipelines on ROS 2 — Nav2, ros2_control.

Embedded Systems

RTOS firmware and PCB design with Altium Designer.

Teaching & Mentoring

Weekly workshops and student teams in competitions.

About Me

More about me
Nhat Tran

I work on autonomous robots and drones across the full stack — from PCB design and low-level firmware (SPI, I2C, CAN bus, Ethernet, Modbus on RTOS) to Visual SLAM, computer vision and the ROS 2 navigation stack. I also run weekly workshops on robotics and embedded systems.
